Our mission: To create a place where every dog belongs, every story matters, and every bond is honored — from the first page read to the last candle lit.
MyDogForever was born from a simple truth — the little things about your dog are worth capturing. The morning routine. The way they follow you from room to room. The story of how you found each other. These are the details that disappear over time unless someone writes them down. We built the place to write them down.

A Forever Page starts as a living profile — their photo, their personality, the little details that make them one of a kind. When the time comes, that same page becomes a candle-lit memorial where friends and family can leave a memory and light a candle. The page never goes away.
While They're Here
Build their profile at your own pace. Add their photo, their story, their favorite activities, and the quirks that make them uniquely theirs. It's a living page that grows with them.
When They're Gone
Their Forever Page becomes a memorial. You share a favorite memory and a personal tribute — the moments and words only you can give. Then friends and family can light a virtual candle and leave their own message. The memories stay. The page stays. They are not forgotten.

Building MyDogForever has been one of the most rewarding technical challenges of my career. What started as a simple idea has evolved into a platform that handles everything from permanent member numbers starting with our very first Forever Page, to beautiful memorial profiles — each line of code written with the goal of honoring the complete journey of a dog's life.

A custom magic link system gives dog owners secure access to update their companions' profiles without needing to remember another password. Simple, secure, and user-friendly.
🎁 Partner Benefits Platform
A member-only discount system with conditional rendering — logged-in members see exclusive codes while visitors see teasers. Built with Supabase authentication and a flexible data structure that makes adding new partners effortless.
📧 Complete Email Ecosystem
From membership confirmations to update notifications and partner access links, a robust email system using Resend keeps members informed at every step of their journey.

The Technical Heart
Every feature is built with care: the image management system that preserves memories, the Stripe integration that makes membership seamless, the Supabase backend that securely stores every dog's story, and the custom admin dashboard that makes managing it all a joy. The database isn't just storing data — it's preserving stories. The memorial system isn't just code — it's creating digital legacies.
What excites me most is seeing how technical excellence serves emotional purpose. A member number isn't just an ID — it's a place in history. A partner discount isn't just a code — it's a way to make life better for dog owners. A memorial page isn't just a webpage — it's a permanent tribute to a beloved companion. That's what makes MyDogForever special.
Looking Ahead: The MyDogForever Online Dog Show
We're just getting started. On the roadmap is an entirely new way to celebrate your dog — an online dog show where every dog with a Forever Page can participate. Categories like "Best Rescue Story," "Most Unique Markings," "Personality Plus," and "Senior Superstars" will let your dog shine. And yes, there will be prizes, recognition, and a whole lot of fun.
The technical challenge excites me: building a fair voting system, creating category-based leaderboards, handling photo and video submissions, and integrating sponsor-backed prizes — all while keeping the focus on celebration, not competition. It's the next big step in our mission to honor every dog's story.
